Armenian doctors check Abkhazian children

By the invitation of the "International Fund Apsny" the pediatrics expersts from Armenia visited Abkhazia. It is a third visit of the doctors from Armenia in frames of the Fund's project named "Aguabziara" (Health). In the first two days of theirs stay in Abkhazia, on August 14 and 15 in Sukhumi City Polyclinic, the doctors will receive children, mostly diagnosed with cerebral palsy, then on August 16 in the Ochamchira Rehabilitation Center for those children living in Ochamchira, Tkuarchal and Gal districts. Children are examined free of charge, all expenses related to the arrival and stay of the experts from Armenia are covered by the "International Found Apsny".

The main goal of such charitable actions is to render support to low income families helping them bring up healthy children.

"First and foremost, we want our children to be able to receive qualified medical care here, at home, so our medical workers would have an opportunity to share their experience and learn from foreign experts. "Now we receive doctors from Armenia, and in the future we plan to involve doctors from Europe" - said Sener Gogua.

Doctors from Armenia are highly qualified specialists working in the best children's medical centers in the country.

Yulia Gumba, the head of the social policy committee of the International Fund of Apsny, said: "Cooperation with Armenian doctors began last year and we can already mark a positive results of this cooperation - these are successfully operated children in Yerevan, also we arranged examination and treatment in the best clinics of Armenia, provided by these doctors with the financial support of the "International Fund of Apsny" and the Cultural and Charitable Foundation "Ashana". During entire period of our cooperation, 9 children were operated, and 10 children were delivered orthoses in the medical centers of Yerevan. We hope that this project will have its development in the future."
