Assembly of the public organizations of Abkhazia

An Assembly of the representatives of public organizations of the Republic of Abkhazia was held in the conference hall of the Atrium-Victoria Hotel today. The purpose of this event is the aspiration of non-governmental organizations to consolidate their actions in the field of humanitarian, social and cultural projects aimed at development of our society and addressing the problems of vulnarable layers of population.

The Association of Public Organizations will facilitate the implementation of more ambitious projects. Exchange of information and coordination of efforts of local NGOs which will help to provide more effective support to the population in many humanitarian, social, legal and cultural issues.

During the discussion, a decision was made to establish the Association of Public Organizations of the Republic of Abkhazia, which will be a unifying mechanism for all public non-governmental organizations. Within the framework of this Association, there will be constant coordination of actions between its members. The Association of Public Organizations will also seek to develop an open dialogue with the country's leadership, its ministries and departments.

The Association of Public Organizations of Abkhazia will be open to membership. Representatives of the country's leadership will be invited to the working meetings of the Association.
