The Day of the National Flag of the Republic of Abkhazia.

The “International Fund Apsny” congratulates you with the Day of the National Flag of the Republic of Abkhazia. The National symbols are the mean of pride for every citizen. The adoption of the state emblem and the flag became one of the most important steps in the course of the national liberation movement of Abkhaz people. The Chairman of the Supreme Council, the First President of Abkhazia Vladislav Ardzinba, gave extreme importance to the adoption of the national symbols. He personally discussed each element of the national emblem and the flag with its designer, Holder of the Order of Leon, artist Valery Gamgia.

The Flag Day - is a truly national holiday. For our nation, the Flag – is not simply an attribute of the state – it is a symbol of freedom and victory. The annual celebration of The National Flag Day symbolizes the sovereignty of Abkhazia, the state of unity and invincible national spirit. We heartily congratulate our fellow citizens and compatriots on the Day of the National Flag and wish happiness, well-being and new achievements on the path of the building an independent Abkhazia!
