International Conference "Abkhazia in the context of Russian-Turkish relations"

April 12, 2019 at 11:00 in the conference hall of the Atrium Victoria Hotel the second International Conference “Abkhazia in the context of Russian-Turkish relations” will be held.

The conference will be attended by representatives of the public and academic circles of Abkhazia. Among the participants are experts from Turkey and Russia. In particular:

Professor Mustafa Aydin is the President of the Council on Foreign Relations of Turkey and the former Rector of the Kadir Has University in Istanbul. He is a member of the Council for International Management of Higher Education and a member of, in particular, the European Academy of Arts and Sciences, as well as the European Network of Leaders.

Dr. Mitat Celikpala is Professor of International Relations and Dean of the Faculty of Economics, Administrative and Social Sciences at Kadir Has University, Istanbul. He teaches courses for graduate students and students on security issues in Eurasia, security and protection of the energy and critical infrastructure, foreign and domestic policies of Turkey and the Caucasus. His areas of expertise are the Caucasus, the North Caucasus diaspora, people and security in the Caucasus and Black Sea regions, Turkish-Russian relations, energy security and the protection of critical infrastructure. He has several published scientific articles, media coverage and analytical materials on the above-mentioned areas.

Trapsh Nikolay Alekseevich - is actively engaged in scientific creativity: he has published 46 scientific works.

Trapsh Nikolai is a recognized scientific community specialist in the study of national historiography of the second half of the XIX - beginning of the XX century, the history of the Caucasus in the new and modern times, the political processes in the Caucasus region at the present stage.

Tsibenko Veronika - Director of the Center for Interdisciplinary Humanitarian Studies of the Southern Federal University (TsMGI SFU). A graduate of the Faculty of Oriental Studies of St. Petersburg State University, an orientalist-tourist expert. She was an employee of the MAE RAS, Institute of Oriental Languages, Eastern and Philosophical Faculties of St. Petersburg State University (St. Petersburg). Since 2013, she has been conducting research at the Southern Federal University.

She has published more than 80 scientific articles in Russian, English and Turkish, including 4 in the Scopus database, 16 in journals from the HAC RF list. Member of the editorial board of the peer-reviewed scientific journal Humanitarian and Legal Studies (HAC List).
