The World Festival of Youth and Students In Sochi.

The employee of the "International Fund of Apsny" Nelly Berulava takes part in the XIX World Festival of Youth and Students, the grand opening of which was held yesterday in the Olympic Park in Sochi.

On October 15^th 2017, the official opening ceremony of the XIX World Festival of Youth and Students (WFMS) was held in the Ice Palace of the "Big" Sochi Olympic Park. More than 20 thousand people from all over the world take part in the festival - they are young specialists, activists, students. As our delegate Nelia Berulava reported, the subject of the theatrical presentation of the opening was the six topical themes of the day: ecology, poverty, education, energy, information and science. On the basis of these themes, a grandiose show was created. Speakers from different parts of the world took part in the presentation, talking about their country, about themselves and their projects. The opening of the festival was attended by the President of Russia Mr. Vladimir Putin, where he addressed the audience of the “Big” Ice Palace with a welcome speech. President of the Republic of Abkhazia Mr. Raul Khajimba also came to the ceremony to support the Abkhaz delegation and to participate in the opening of this global event. The festival will continue until 22^nd of October. The program of the festival is extensive and varied. During this time, its participants will have the opportunity to pass various master classes, seminars, participate in discussions on topics of interest, listen to lectures, visit exhibitions, etc.
